The Jane in Jane’s Renaissance is short for Jane Doe, the definition of an average, ordinary woman. I chose to use Jane in place of my actual first name because my purpose for this blog is not to promote myself, but rather to demonstrate how an everyday woman who is mid-way through her life can still progress, learn, succeed in her goals, and evolve into the best version of herself. This is me trying.
Renaissance is the French word for rebirth. It’s also used when defining a Renaissance man as one who “sought to develop skills in all areas of knowledge, in physical development, in social accomplishments, and in the arts,” according to Encyclopedia Brittanica. This blog is my journey to reignite my life and become my own Renaissance woman.
My goal is to provide open, honest, and useful information in hopes that my readers can become their own Renaissance woman.
